Times, they are a changin'

Times, they are a changin'. As Silran666, a.k.a. Manny, and I have been developing Impossible Box Studios, we have remained quite flexible with the manner of artistry and content that our site will contain. Due to recent activities, we have decided to add Social Media Coaching to our list of services that we will be ...providing in the future.

This does not change our commitment to producing quality art. It only adds to the list of services we will be providing.

In other news, we have added Shawn, a new artist to the Impossible Box Studios cadre of artists. He is working on some children books that we will be producing for sale sometime in the future.

For those of you looking for the web comics we are producing, you can find them at www.burningphoenixcomics.com. At the time of this writing there is no content on the site, but it will be up shortly. Burning Phoenix Comics is our new web comic hosting site that will host all comics and books that are rated PG or higher. Impossible Box Studios will host everything else that is G rated or lower.

You can follow us on Twitter at http://twitter.com/impossiblebox or http://twitter.com/BurnPhxComics
We also have a Burning Phoenix Comics fan page you can become a member of too if you would like. The link is here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Burning-Phoenix-Comics/299882771454?ref=ts

Goodbye Amanda

I fully intended to update here yesterday since it's been a while since we made an update, but I got caught up in the official resignation and project removal of Darkwingpsycho.

It is official now, Amanda, a.k.a. Darkwingpsycho (Live Journal), a.k.a. Leewyndelf (Twitter), a.k.a. Moon Rocket (Blog Spot), has decided to move on and pursue her web comic project on her own. I would like to personally wish her the best of luck in the future and I hope that her project is as successful as it possibly can be.

If you are interested in continuing to follow her work it can be found at these locations.

Twitter: Leewyndelf

She is a talented artist with some great ideas who also takes commissions if you like what you see and would like her to draw something for you, I’m sure she would be willing to accommodate you.

We’re sorry to see you go Amanda, but we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

House cleaning and other fun stuff

Hello again!

It's been a few weeks since we last posted anything and I wanted to take a few minutes and explain why.

Basically, we have been doing some house cleaning and getting the new website under construction page built. I've also been consolidating all of the social networking sites under one email address to make it all just a little bit easier for us to manage the email traffic.

So, without further delay, I am proud to introduce our new website, www.impossibleboxstudios.com

This new website has links to all of the projects that Impossible Box Studios is working on and it is the first place to stop for up to date information on the projects we are working on!

Mal Mart logos are up!

We just posted some new logos on the Deviant Art page! This time we are displaying the logo for our department / outlet store, Mal Mart.

The concept behind this store is that it is a major distribution outlet for many of the goods the characters in our story will need. They can get rope, food, tools, personal hygiene, and various other supplies they will need to go through their adventures.

We're making a play on the corporate greed that most of these companies seem to have these days. The problem with Mal Mart is that they can't seem to lock down 100% of the market. Specifically the Spanish / Mexican in any of their store locations. If you speak Spanish you probably understand why, if not, get one of your Spanish speaking friends to help you out.

So the background for most of the Mal Mart scenes will be drawn in such a way as to focus on their desire to get customers from the Spanish / Mexican market into the store. We think that this will allow us to create some interesting backgrounds for the store scenes rather than the generic and bland scenes you might expect from a typical store of this type.

You can check out all of the art I have mentioned above at the Deviant Art page here: http://impossiblebox.deviantart.com/
You can follow us on LiveJournal here: http://community.livejournal.com/impossible_box/

We're really excited and working hard to get this web comic out as soon as possible. If you have any comments, please post them here or on any of the sites I have mentioned above.

New Logos for OOF!!

That's right folks, we've been working hard for the last couple of weeks and have a ton of logos ready for the comic book!

First up will be Achoochoo Motors. Achoochoo Motors is one of the automobile manufacturers in our web comic book currently titled OOF.

The idea behind Achoochoo is that they are the Green car manufacturers in our world. This is the company that, were it in the real world, would make the Prius, Smart car, and other fuel efficient cars.

In our world, Achoochoo Motors makes alternative fuel cars greener. For instance, we have the solar car, the coal powered car and a steam powered car all mentioned in our story boards. Although coal doesn't seem like a green fuel source at first glance, we take the fantasy aspect of this seriously and invented the Achoochoo converter. A device that converts whatever fuel you put in the vehicle into energy that is 10,000 times more efficient than just burning it would be!

You can check out these logos at: http://impossiblebox.deviantart.com/

We're really excited and working hard. We'll post more logos as we get them finalized!

That's right folks, we created the first story boards for the web comic yesterday morning!

We still have a lot of work to do but it's coming along at a decent pace. We should be able to get the website up with our under construction artwork within a few weeks too so you'll be able to go there for updates as well as here.
